Mektory is the Innovation and Business Center of Tallinn University of Technology. Mektory is an international innovation ecosystem, the supporter of inventive entrepreneurship and science popularization. TalTech Mektory brings together entrepreneurship, innovation, and academia. It offers various opportunities for students to develop their ideas into valid business models and working prototypes. Mektory provides a networking environment where businesses, students, professors, schoolchildren and investors from all over the world meet to generate new ideas and innovation together as one team.
Mektory’s premises are on 4450 square meters which consist of the Technology Transfer Centre for connecting scientists with companies, School of Technology for children, Startup Centre for empowering future founders, Conference Centre, Education USA Advising Centre and Space Centre.
There are two people from Mektory who are involved in the NOCCA project: Kaisa Hansen and Kerje Kivinurm.
Kaisa is the Startup Center Manager of TalTech Mektory. She has been working in the field of innovation and change management for 7 years. At Mektory she is responsible for running various business development programs for students and startups; managing the Innovation HUB; organizing different events (workshops, hackathons, open innovation contests); forming local and international partnerships and leading various cooperation projects.
Kerje is the Startup Center Project Manager in TalTech Mektory. Kerje joined the team in February 2020. Previously she has been working in the field of marketing for 15 years. She has long-term experience working in international logistics companies owned by Swedish Post and French Post. At Mektory she is responsible for supporting various business development programs for students and startups; organizing different events (workshops, hackathons, open innovation contests); coordinating the activities for students and startups in the Innovation HUB and in Makerlab.
