Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences prepares professionals for business and services through education, research and development in Finland. Entrepreneurship and pedagogy are among the main core competences of Haaga-Helia and altogether, there are several fields of education: business, hotel, restaurant and tourism management, information technology, journalism, management assistant training, sports management and vocational teacher education. Approximately 10 500 students and 640 employees at Haaga-Helia base their activities on highly advanced national and international expertise. At Haaga-Helia students can earn Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, and participate in research and development. Haaga-Helia is an international university of applied sciences and has more than 200 partner universities throughout the world. The international degree programmes have foreign students from more than 100 countries. International work placements and projects also contribute to the growing internationalization.
StartUp School is Haaga-Helia’s programme that supports students who want to become entrepreneurs. It offers hands-on assistance, courses and events, and students can earn credits while participating. Students who already have a company or a business idea can complete up to 1/3 of the degree programme through StartUp School.
There are nine experts from the Haaga-Helia Pasila campus in Helsinki working in the NOCCA project with different areas of responsibility: Jari Luomakoski, Anna Kohonen, Satu Harkki, Minna-Maari Harmaala, Rakhshanda Khan, Päivi Käri-Zein, Syed Mubaraz, Pirjo Purovesi and Timo-Pekka Uotila.
